The Weston-Super-Mare Association of Malayalees (WAM) proudly participated in the Mendip Challenge, a community walk organised by Weston Hospicecare. A total of 21 WAM members registered and on 1st June 2025, the association successfully completed a total of 5 miles for the challenge.

The route took the walkers through the beautiful Mendip Hills. The scenic journey gave our team a chance to enjoy nature while supporting a vital cause: raising awareness and funds for a local charity providing compassionate end-of-life care. Along the way, our walkers were met with warm applause and encouragement from the local community, reminding each other of the purpose of community cohesion.

Weston Hospicecare extended a heartfelt thanks to WAM for our participation and community spirit, recognising the positive impact we can continue making in Weston-Super-Mare and beyond. WAM is grateful to everyone who walked, cheered us on, or helped organise our involvement. The energy and dedication shown is a testament to even small steps making a big difference.

WAM intends to keep this momentum going! We look forward to participating in future events that celebrate our shared values of unity, culture, and compassion.
